The Eastern Cape Provincial Government led by the Eastern Cape Premier, Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane and the MEC for the Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT), Mlungisi Mvoko will handover millions of Rands to the Local and Regional Development Fund (LRED) and Isiqalo Youth Fund beneficiaries in the OR Tambo District Municipality.
The handover will take place at 08:30 on 09 April 2021 in Mthatha, Savoy Hotel.
This programme forms part of the Premier led official visit to the district to visit projects and hand over funds as pronounced in the 2021-22 SOPA and policy speech.
Both leaders embarked on a similar programme last month wherein they handed over cheques amounting to more than R4.5m to the beneficiaries of LRED and Isiqalo Youth Fund in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality (BCMM).
The BCMM handover took place in East London Special Economic Zone (ELSEZ) Conference Centre on 16 March 2021.
