Services
The Eastern Cape provincial government, through its Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT), offers a number of services that help:
- stimulate the economy and create jobs in the province
- manage and protect the natural environment.
Some direct assistance on specialised services is provided by the Department while the majority of high-impact services are provided by entities such as Coega, the Eastern Cape Development Corporation, Eastern Cape Gambling Board, East London Industrial Development Zone and Eastern Cape Liquor Board.
