Public Notice: Proposed Amendments to Liquor Fees (Eastern Cape Liquor Act, 10 of 2003)

Notice is hereby given of proposed amendments to the fees contained in the Regulations to the Eastern Cape Liquor Act, 10 of 2003 – (2024 Regulations)

  • Members of the public, stakeholders, and interested parties are invited to submit written comments on the proposed amendments within 30 days from the date of publication in the Provincial Government Gazette.
  • All comments must be submitted in writing. Any comments received after the 30-day period will not be considered.

Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)

The Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT) complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

The Department respects the security, integrity, and confidentiality of all personal information in its possession or under its control, and has implemented a range of safeguards to protect it.

DEDEAT has taken, and will continue to take, appropriate and reasonable measures to prevent:

  • Loss of, damage to, or unauthorised access to personal information; and
  • The unlawful processing of personal information.

As a data subject, you have the right to request that DEDEAT:

  • Correct, update, delete, or destroy your personal information;
  • Object to the processing of your personal information; or
  • Exercise any other rights as provided for in POPIA.
